Voices NC

Ad Hoc Community Police Relations Committee

Please note starting March 1, 2023, all general and committee meetings will be held in-person at Vermont Square Branch Library.

Vermont Square Branch Library
1201 West 48th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90037

This committee will review and make recommendations on legislation and initiatives proposed by LA City Council to address the inequities in law enforcement. Police accountability, training, department culture, diversity in recruitment, transparency and militarization are among the issues to be discussed. This committee will also examine opportunities to shift to community centered public safety protocols in place of armed response. Stakeholder and police involvement are imperative to meet the goals the committee sets forth, therefore meetings are totally inclusive and hate speech is prohibited.

If you are interested in serving on this committee, please reach out to [email protected] and [email protected].
