Lunafest Virtual Film Festival - October 18 & 19

LUNAFEST is a virtual film festival featuring short films by and about women. Participants will receive a login code to view seven short films between Sunday, October 18, 2020 and Monday, October 19, 2020. All proceeds from this fundraiser will help Boundless Brilliance continue to provide free science supplies and presentations to local elementary schools.

LUNAFEST is designed so that one person can easily make a significant difference in the lives of women. Whether that person is a filmmaker who tells an untold story, a host who raises funds and awareness for a cause, an attendee who leaves with a new perspective, or in this case YOU by helping us spread the word – each is a catalyst for change.

What is Boundless Brilliance?

Despite the large number of female graduates, the percentage of women in STEM jobs is only ~28%. Minorities form an even smaller percentage. Research shows that girls as young as 6 already feel that intelligence is a male trait. 

To change this, Boundless Brilliance brings FREE, empowering science lessons to elementary school students across Los Angeles. In three years, we have partnered with over 21 elementary schools to give over 300 presentations and impact over 7,000 students. Additionally, Boundless Brilliance provides resources and support to the college interns by hosting community events that empower young women in STEM.
