LADWP CARES Utility Grant Assistance Program

Up to 100,000 low-income households in Los Angeles will be eligible to receive a one-time $500 check in the mail to help pay bills such as gas, cellular phone, wi-fi, Internet and cable television services thanks to a program created under the leadership of Council President Nury Martinez with the support of Councilman Curren Price.
Funding is limited, Online Applications ONLY.  Accepted between November 2 and November 15, 2020.

The Los Angeles Department of Water & Power is accepting applications for the COVID-19 Utility Grant Program through Nov. 15. Click on the link above to apply. 

“Our low-income communities have demonstrated tremendous resilience and strength during this national public health emergency,” said Councilman Price who seconded Martinez’ motion. “COVID-19 has hit the working poor and people of color the hardest and it is up to their government to put forward a range of solutions that mitigate the challenges of this remarkable time in human history. I hope our actions send a clear message to our low-income communities that we stand with them during this pandemic and beyond."
